Happy November!

School has kept me dreadfully busy. I have had at least one exam every week since the 4th week of September. I feel like a complete bookworm.

An update on my life:

- I dropped my ethics class. There were MANY reasons. The foremost reason was that I cannot stand a teacher who does not represent two intelligent, scholarly viewpoints during the discussion of controversial subjects.

- Cell Bio. Lecture is going pretty well. I did ALOT better than I thought on the exams and quizzes we have had the past month or so.

- Cell Bio. Lab tries my patience more than Organic Chemsistry lab. Sometimes I just don't understand what the point/goal is in what we do. Lab is also LONG and BORING, but I LOVE Dr. Hurd - he is great! We have a big independent project and proposal to do, so we will see how that goes.

- Physics + Physics Lab = tolerable, but could be used as a sedative. This week (Friday) I have my second Physics exam.

- Junior Seminar (for Bio. majors) wraps up soon. I present this week (on Wednesday) on the topic of what I want to do with my life/career plans

- Religious Studies Independent Study is going pretty well. I am nearing the end of my thesis. I have somewhere close to 32-35pgs. I still have to write two more sections (4-5pgs. each), an intro., conclusion and then a compile my sources in a bibliography. So, I may be close to 45-50pgs. when I am done....Never thought I could write THAT much! I will be presenting a 30 min. presentation at the end of the semester based off an experience in Gabon.

So THAT is the update on my classes.

Other than that, I am babysitting a 1.5 year old boy Monday & Friday mornings for an hour, so that is fun and it also contributes to weekly gas & insurance costs. I still volunteer almost every week at the hospital for about 3-4hrs. I picked up a job tutoring Biology at school, too.

I am loving the fall season. I so enjoy the sun shining down on me as I walk around my college campus, it makes my day SO much brighter.

God is good. It amazes me how awesome and powerful he is. He is CREATOR of ALL and LORD of ALL. It amazes me how he anticipates our every need and proves his faithfulness time and time again.

For my Religious Studies thesis, I have been reading some cool books...here is a good quote:

"God formed us in His image and then breathed life into us.
His life in us is sustained by His character.
When we lose the character of God, we lose the life of God in us.
But to have His character, we must first die to ourselves, because to become like Him is what it really means to live."
