I've decided that I really don't like labeling these posts with title, because in my mind, I can't put a label on what God is doing in my life.
I love when the Bible comes alive...It makes me so excited to read it! ...let's face it, I'll be honest, sometimes I really struggle with cracking open my Bible, but lately I can't get enough of it.
I feel like I have written this a thousand times, but I can't stress it enough. God continues to teach me that he is faithful. Not only is he faithful, but he is present in our lives. In the book of Acts, in Paul's famous talk to the men of Athens, Paul teaches that God IS present in each one of our lives. So many times, we as humanity build up God to be some distant, far-fetched, powerful God, when he is SO much more than that...Acts 17: 24-28: " The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. 'For in him we live and move and have our being.' As some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.'"
...That blew me away and reminded me of how good my God is. "He is not far from each one of us"...Do you realize what this means? Not matter what the situation, trial or whatever, God knows. He knows what we are going through. He is SO awesome and SO worthy of our praise. No matter what the situation (we all have our rough days), he deserves our praise because he has a purpose in everything (Romans 8:28)
I hope that encourages you as it has encouraged me.
Encouraged in Africa!
